An insanely expensive 5G hotspot byNETGEARBut its versatility makes it the ideal solution for anyone that travels a lot and has demanding requirements. So far, I have used it as:#5gHotspot - When travelling, providing connectivity to all my devices without the battery drain of my phone as a hotspot.Ethernet Offloading – In an Airbnb property, I plugged it directly into the Ethernet, and this will broadcast your own SSID avoiding the need to set up all your devices. This increases security by providing a new NAT IP range.5G WAN Failover – When I am at home, this is used permanently paired up with the superbEnGenius TechnologiesESG510 dual WAN gateway. It is set up as a secondary Internet connection that acts as a backup if Virgin Media goes down. VM going down tends to last hours with a significant cost to my productivity.I can get over 600Mbps download speeds using this in my house, so there is almost no perceivable difference in performance when my Internet switches to this.

5G CPE modifications 4G or 5G to a WiFi hotspot. WIFI devices can be converted through 5G CPE to gain access to a 4G or 5G network. 5G CPE can be upgraded to a little base station, with both WiFi LAN and also tiny base station features. An excellent signal at the window and a negative interior signal. Install a 5G CPE tiny base station by the home window and connect to the power supply (or bring your very own power supply). It can access 4G as well as 5G networks through the exterior network of the CPE. The phone charges, SMS charges, as well as information costs created by the CPE are included in the number corresponding to the SIM card of the mobile phone, as well as are not consisted of in the CPE device. Neighboring WIFI devices without SIM cards, computer tablets (generally all with WIFI), without wi-fi can get a USB user interface wi-fi card, gain access to 4G/ 5G network through WIFI inner network, traffic costs are created Enter the number corresponding to the SIM card of the CPE. 5G CPE tiny base stations can be lugged at any time, regardless of where they go, as long as there are 4G/ 5G signals by the window, interior mobile phones, and also other terminal tools with SIM, as well as WIFI, can call the Internet on standby, solving the issue of interior unseen areas. WIFI tools without a SIM card can likewise pass through the intranet.#FWA#5g#MBB#mobile#ODU#router#outdoorcpe#5glte#cellular#mmwave#5ginstallation#verizon#hotspot#cellular#wirelessnetwork#5gphone#5gmobile#IDU#5Goutdoor#5Gindoor

Not quite sure yet about what we are going to do with these crazy speeds, but none the less, as a WLAN technology geek and having worked with over 6 generations of WLAN technology from the past 20 years, I can’t contain my happiness to see the latest Wi-Fi7 smartphone in my hands connecting to the latest WiFi7 AP and clocking 2.5Gbps TCP throughput over Wi-Fi!!!It looks like this Wi-Fi7 client may actually be capable of achieving close to 4Gbps throughput and the PHY rate (link speed) supported is close to 5Gbps with 2x2 MIMO, 4096QAM and 320MHz channel Bandwidth in 6GHz, but the upstream ethernet port of the Wi-Fi7 router we used has a max link speed of 2.5Gbps. So, we are still trying to see if we can get higher throughput with bonded ethernet ports, MLO and other advanced features turned on…. please stay tuned for more interesting Wi-Fi7 testing results/posts coming up in the next few days! For now, here are some TCP peak/avg throughput results we got in an isolated RF environment on various 6GHz channels with the 2.5GE limitation on the ethernet side!!#wifi7 #testing

A) Put 4 devices in the same chamber. Does the performance fade off linearly? (600Mbit) Or catastrophically? (1/100th or 1/500th the bandwidth is feasible with bad aggregation): This is what used to happen on most devices in 2016. Is it fixed now? https://lnkd.in/eu5Ku_fdB) What happens to the TCP latency? Here is a test suite for that:https://lnkd.in/gTpQJ9yJC) What happens with a few walls and at distance?D) Achieving single stream throughput at the cost of good videoconferencing performance is a pita. How well does a videoconference work while saturating tcp in this way? With and without 802.11.e in use?You guys are in the best place in the world to make sure that real world wifi works usefully outside the lab.
